Samsung Galaxy S25 brings AI-based reply suggestions for WhatsApp

One UI 7 for the Samsung Galaxy S25 series introduces an amazing new feature for chat and text messages, Suggested Replies. This is a Samsung Keyboard feature feature, which uses on-device AI to generate potential responses to messages received on WhatsApp.

This new feature is different from the previously suggested replies introduced in One UI 6.1.1 on the Galaxy Z Flip 6. The older version works with notifications and offers less context. It is still available but operates differently from the more advanced version found on the Galaxy S25 with One UI 7.

The Suggested Replies feature of the One UI 7 makes it easier to reply quickly and efficiently. You can find through Settings >> Advanced Features >> Labs >> the “Suggested Replies” option is available for users of Samsung Keyboard.

When enabled, users receive a horizontally scrolling row of suggested replies to WhatsApp messages (Via Android Authority). This feature works entirely on the device to ensure that private conversations are not shared with third parties. While it currently works with WhatsApp, it may also extend to apps like Line and KakaoTalk. It is similar to Gboard’s Smart Reply. However, it is not compatible with Google Messages at this time.
