INI EDO - Speaks on Her Journey to Motherhood on Reality Show

In a conversation with fellow cast member Nadia, who asked if Ini Edo had children, the actress responded, “Yes, I have a baby girl.” When Nadia followed up with a question about marriage, Ini Edo clarified, “I’m not married.”

Curious, Nadia then asked, “Are you with the father of the child?” Ini Edo replied, “No, I am not.” Nadia, probing further, asked, “Is he still alive?” Ini Edo responded, “He’s not dead. He has nothing to do with us. It’s just me and my daughter.”

Ini Edo went on to explain, “I don’t want to delve too much into my personal journey, but I’m raising my child alone. I went through surrogacy. There was no man in my life at the time I decided to have a child, and I realized there are other ways to make that happen.”

Reflecting on her fertility struggles, Ini Edo revealed, “I never imagined I’d have fertility issues. However, I’ve had difficulties carrying pregnancies long term. When it became clear that having a child naturally wasn’t going to happen, and as I grew older, I started exploring options.”

She continued, “Then the option of surrogacy came up, and I took it. I’m happy with my decision and I have no regrets.”
